CLINIC POLICIES: HELPING US SERVE YOU BETTER

APPOINTMENTS & VISITS

  • By Appointment Only: Due to high patient volume, we are unable to accommodate walk-in appointments. Please book ahead to ensure a provider is available.
  • One Concern per Visit: To ensure thorough care, please discuss your primary concern first. If time permits, we will address one additional quick issue. Complex matters may require a follow-up appointment.
  • Prescription Renewals: Please allow 7–10 business days for all renewal requests. We recommend contacting your pharmacy two weeks before your supply runs out.

PUNCTUALITY & CANCELLATIONS

  • Running Late: Please call us if you are behind schedule. If you arrive more than 15 minutes late, we will kindly ask you to reschedule to avoid delaying other patients.
  • Cancellations: We require 24 hours notice to cancel an appointment. This allows us to offer that time to another patient who may need urgent care.
  • No-Show Fees: Missing more than one appointment without informing us will result in a charge of $30–$60, depending on the appointment type.

                    Summer Health and Safety Tips

Protect Your Skin from UV Radiation
Skin protection is vital during the peak summer months. We recommend applying a broad-spectrum sunscreen with an SPF of 30 or higher every day, even when it is cloudy. Remember to reapply every two hours, or immediately after swimming or sweating. For added protection, wear wide-brimmed hats, UV-blocking sunglasses, and lightweight, long-sleeved clothing when spending extended periods outdoors.
Recognize the Signs of Heat-Related Illness
With higher temperatures comes the risk of heat exhaustion and heat stroke. Watch out for symptoms such as heavy sweating, dizziness, rapid pulse, muscle cramps, headache, and nausea. If you or someone you are with experiences these signs, move to a cool, shaded area, drink water, and rest. If symptoms worsen or include confusion or fainting, seek immediate emergency medical care.
Prioritize Hydration
Dehydration can happen quickly in the heat, especially during outdoor exercise. Do not wait until you feel thirsty to drink water. Keep a reusable water bottle with you throughout the day and aim to drink fluid continuously. If you are participating in intense physical activity for over an hour, consider an electrolyte-replacement drink to maintain proper fluid balance.
Be Mindful of Summer Allergies and Pests
Warm weather often brings an increase in pollen, as well as insects like mosquitoes and ticks. If you suffer from seasonal allergies, check daily pollen counts and take your allergy medications as prescribed. When spending time in wooded or grassy areas, use an insect repellent containing DEET or icaridin, and perform a thorough tick check on yourself and your children when you return indoors.
We wish you a vibrant, restful, and healthy summer. Thank you for trusting us with your healthcare needs.
